2025 Jeep Gladiator Dark Sky Finds Value on the Dark Side

This Jeep Gladiator is for bargain hunters. Jeep offers plenty of special-edition models, like Willys and Mojave, if you’re closer to the higher end of its price range. But if you’re looking at something nearer to the entry-spec model, you might have been feeling left out. The Jeep Gladiator Dark Sky might be just the ticket, adding some interesting extras to the Sport S spec version of the open-air pickup.

X Features a Sport S Budget

To build the Jeep Gladiator Dark Sky, Jeep started with the hood from the desert-rated Mojave grade. The hood adds a large vent that looks more aggressive than the stock flat hood, especially with the power bulge that comes with it.

Jeep also added body-color fender flares, gloss black bumper inserts, and dark-finish badges and decals.

The Dark Sky is also available with a body-color hard top. Jeep says is the first time that a body-color top has been available on the Sport S trim. However, it is offered as part of the $4,295 Premium Package for 2024 and 2025. That pack also comes with 18-inch tires and premium seats, which helps explain the price tag.

2025 Jeep Gladiator Dark Sky Comes in Bright Colors, Too

You might be wondering what the point of body-color fenders and hardtop is on a black Jeep, but the Gladiator Dark Sky offers a wider range than the Northern Lights. It’s available in all of the Gladiator Sport S exterior color options. You can get a Dark Sky in Mojito, ’41, or Hydro Blue, making the option package make a lot more sense.

The extra features of the Jeep Gladiator Dark Sky add $1,495 to the sticker price of the $41,600 Jeep Gladiator Sport S. The hardtop will cost you a little extra, but much less than the price of that Premium Package.

Who Is This Special Edition For?

If you don’t want (or have the budget for) the expensive off-road extras of higher-spec Jeep models but you do want paint-matched fenders, this might be exactly the model you’re looking for. The same goes for buyers who want to go above and beyond the off-road capabilities, more extreme low-range gearing, and tall tires of the Rubicon X or Mojave X, and are planning to upgrade everything once they’ve left the dealer. You can get a rig that’s shiny (for now) without dropping another $15K.

You can order the 2025 Jeep Gladiator Dark Sky now. Expect the models to sneak into Jeep dealers in a few months. By the light of the moon, of course.
