2026 Jeep Compass Trailhawk Is Cheaper, If You Want It Loaded

Jeep has just slashed the price of the Compass Trailhawk — for some buyers, anyway. If you were planning on buying one with all the options, 2026 looks like a bargain. If you wanted a basic Trailhawk, then you’re going to be paying more money. But at least you’ll get some more stuff.

Jeep Raises Price, Makes More Stuff Standard

The announcement we got from Jeep said that the 2026 Jeep Compass Trailhawk would be priced $4,235 less than the 2025 model. It would also include $1,575 in additional standard equipment — which sounds like a steal.

Trailhawk is Jeep’s most capable grade, at least for Compass. The Trail Rated model adds Active Drive Low AWD, which locks the front and rear axles and keeps the transmission in first gear. It also adds skid plates, all-terrain tires, and red trim.

Hit Jeep’s site and the differences in price are, well, different. For 2025, a Trailhawk started from $32,395 plus $1,995 destination. Call it $34,390. For 2026, it starts from $33,995 plus $1,995 destination, or $35,390. Which, by our math, is $1,000 more.

But, as Jeep said, the 2025 Compass Trailhawk comes with more stuff: an eight-way power driver seat, heated steering wheel and seats, remote start, and a windshield wiper de-icer. Last year, those were all part of the $2,575 Trailhawk Convenience Group. Now, it’s like saving $1,575.

Cost of Best Options Slashed

Last year, if you wanted a dual-pane sunroof, you needed to add a $3,275 Sun and Sound Group package. This year, that package is $2,295, but it also comes with GPS navigation. The $3,975 Trailhawk Elite Group with leather seats, nav, and a load of other upgrades is gone. If you want active driving assist (which includes adaptive cruise), the package price has been slashed from $3,375 to just $1,695.

So last year, a Compass Trailhawk with all the luxury stuff was $45,015. This year, it’s $39,380.

2026 Jeep Compass Line Gets a Shakeup

Other Compass models see changes as well. Sport, the old starting point, is gone. The starting point for the 2026 Jeep Compass is the $30,990 Latitude model. Jeep will also offer the Compass for 2026 as the Latitude Altitude, a black appearance package. Limited is $34,885, and the Limited Altitude adds the black appearance pack for a total of $36,880.

The standard engine is a 2.0L turbo-four. It makes 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. Jeep has added its orange color Joose for 2026, along with a new Fathom Blue color. Expect the 2026 Compass at dealers soon.
