Get Your Mickey On: Disney Adds Fandom Flair to Brooks Running Shoes

Brooks and runDisney want you to show your Disney fandom with a new multiyear collaboration: four Disney-themed designs spread over two popular shoe models.
Since October 2024, Brooks has served as the official running shoe of runDisney, which organizes running events throughout the entertainment giant’s many theme parks. Now, Brooks has refashioned its Ghost Max 2 and Adrenaline GTS 24 shoes with colorful designs that are instantly recognizable to any Disney fan. Key accents include nods to the classic Mickey and Minnie outfits, with red, white, and black designs and mouse ears on the laces.

RunDisney X Brooks: Ghost Max 2 Designs
Brooks says it wanted one of its most popular running shoe designs to showcase iconic Disney characters and race weekend color themes.
The Ghost Max 2 sports rocker-shape geometry to help move you from landing to toe-off. It also uses soft, lightweight cushioning with added stability, thanks to a broad base and more comfort for neutral strides, Brooks said. Each is available in two widths: medium or wide.
RunDisney helped give the Ghost Max 2 three new looks.
First is the runDisney SS, designed for the 2025 Springtime Surprise race weekend. This design has vibrant turquoise with splashes of hot pink and bright yellow. The runDisney SS models come with themed race badges, like Groot on the 5K badge and Hercules on the 10K badge, to customize your laces.
Brooks paid tribute to Minnie Mouse’s classic dress with a red backdrop and white polka dots in the Ghost Max 2 Minnie Mouse. The heels have a mouse ears outline with Minnie’s bow. Yellow accents on the sole add contrast to Minnie’s design.
Last but not least, the original mouse himself receives his own Ghost Max 2 Mickey Mouse design. The black-and-white uppers are a nod to Mickey’s early days, while the red soles speckled with black are a callback to his signature-colored shorts. Mickey’s ears sit on each heel with his signature on the inside heel.
RunDisney X Brooks: Adrenaline GTS 24 Design
Brooks also chose a running shoe with a little more support to join the parade. Emblazoned with “Every Mile is Magic,” runDisney lent many Mickey Mouse details and popping colors to the Adrenaline GTS 24 runDisney model. Mickey’s even pacing his own mile on each heel of the Adrenaline GTS models.
Brooks says that its Adrenaline GTS 24 shoes feature nitrogen-infused cushioning to add lightweight softness to its Go-To-Support (GTS). Its wide base enhances stability, Brooks claims. It also says the GuideRails support system helps reduce excess motion to keep you running longer. The mesh uppers boast breathability enough to handle those humid Florida mornings on race day.
Brooks x runDisney: Making Race Day Magical
This collaboration culminates the work of several years, Brooks said. Now that Brooks serves as the official running shoe of runDisney’s racing weekends and virtual events, we could see more eye-catching, Disney-themed designs in the near future.
Seeing as how most of these limited-edition models are sold out, there may be a market for more Mickey Mouse-themed shoes. Stay tuned!
