One of the upsides of getting the blue checkmark on X is that you can go over the 240-character limit if you want. You can also edit your posts for the first hour, which means you can make corrections if need be.
These are features that the anti-gun group Giffords is completely unable to use for whatever inane reason. I say this because they could use it and provide some relevant facts to some of the stories they try to highlight for their cause.
I mean, I know that no amount of gun control will ever be enough for them, but let’s look at how they like to play their little games. Let’s start with one I touched on briefly on Monday regarding the attack at a bar in Austin, Texas.
At least two people were killed and 14 others were injured early this morning when a gunman opened fire at a bar in downtown Austin, Texas.

Now, there’s no doubt that it’s a senseless loss for those killed. Is anyone really willing to dispute it? The only loss that wasn’t senseless was the guy who said he was “Property of Allah,” and since he started this whole thing, he brought that on himself.
As noted on Monday, though, the bar in question was a gun-free zone under Texas law. No good guy could carry a gun there, but it didn’t do anything to stop a guy who sure looks like a terrorist to me.
Then we ended up with this one from Monday.

Now, I’d love for Americans “to exist in their communities without constant gun violence” or any other kind of violence.
However, let’s talk a bit about that concert venue for a moment, because guess what it has in common with the bar in Austin?
That’s right. Both were gun-free zones.
In other words, anyone who was inclined to carry a firearm to either venue lawfully couldn’t do so at all. That made them all sitting ducks for the attackers that came at them.
That’s gun control, and for anyone with more than two brain cells to duke it out should be able to see that they didn’t work any better than Iranian air defense systems.
It’s fine to admit that one of your preferred policies isn’t working perfectly, especially since we know you’re not going to accept it being repealed anywhere. The least you could do is admit that it doesn’t work when highlighting these stories, even if only to justify whatever you’re pushing for next.
Then again, when talking about Trayvon Martin, the left out that Stand Your Ground wasn’t invoked at all at George Zimmerman’s trial, that he wasn’t some sweet, innocent kid but a thug who attacked a man who hadn’t actually tried to harm him, or anything of the sort.
Today marks 14 years since Trayvon Martin was shot and killed while walking home.
He had dreams to attend college in Florida and become a pilot, but he was murdered at age 17.

Again, leaving stuff out.
See, the problem for Giffords and the rest of the gun control crowd is that reality doesn’t conform to their worldview, so they have to omit and lie in order to make it appear that it does.
That’s not just Giffords. It’s all the anti-gun groups. Giffords is just particularly stupid about it.
The fact that they routinely lock replies at least implies they know what they’re doing and don’t want to be called on it anywhere that it’s easy for their audience to see.
More evidence that you’ve got lies, damned lies, and the gun control bunch.
