Legal Challenge of Hawaii’s ‘Sensitive Places’ Law Needs Your Help

Have you ever seen a legal challenge that you wish you could help with? Maybe you throw some money behind the group challenging the gun control law, but did you ever want to be more directly involved?

No? Just me?

Weird.

Anyway, we all know that legal challenges are a key part of any strategy to not just fend off the forces of evil who call themselves “gun safety advocates” or whatever term they’re using this week, but also in restoring our rights to where the Founding Fathers intended for them to be.

For example, a lot of states took the comments about “sensitive places” from the Bruen decision and got stupid with them. They can’t make an entire city a sensitive place, but they’ve come damn close with the so-called vampire rule, which means you can’t enter a business with a gun without explicit permission to be armed there.

Hawaii’s sensitive places law is being challenged, but the attorney in the case could use a little help.

First, $11,000 for printing and copying costs seems pretty damn ridiculous to me, but governments are entitled to charge for those. If there are enough documents, then even at a reasonable rate, that could mount up pretty quickly. So, for the sake of argument, let’s assume these are just reasonable fees, but for a whole pile of documentation.

These are necessary, though, for the challenge to be successful. You never know what you’ll find in the truckload of documentation you get from a defendant, documents that might well prove your case fully.

So, they need them.

And that’s a whole lot of money for paperwork that they clearly don’t have just sitting around.

They need help, which you can provide.

Of course, that crowdfunding campaign is for more than just copies of paperwork, but it’s a glimpse into just how expensive a challenge can be, and these things matter. Overturning the vampire rule in Hawaii kills similar laws throughout the country and prevents other states from implementing similar measures.

Look, if you’re able, please kick in a few bucks to help this challenge and, ultimately, help yourself.

If you’re not, I get it. Sharing these fundraisers is an option, too, and it could be a significant help, so if you’re cash-strapped at the moment, then consider sharing this with your friends in the 2A community and elsewhere.

We don’t have a billionaire like Michael Bloomberg looking to spend all his money before he dies by throwing it at gun control groups and efforts. We’re doing this with ordinary Americans who just want to take back our rights. We’re plumbers, farmers, mechanics, and schmucks who make smart remarks on the internet.

Let’s show them that we stand tall and will back our brothers and sisters no matter what state they call home.

Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
