Mother of All Bargains? Get Into a V8 Wrangler for $20K Less in 2026

If you want a V8-powered Jeep Wrangler, Jeep has just made it a heck of a lot cheaper. For 2026, Jeep will add a new Wrangler Moab 392 model to the lineup. It has the 6.4L V8 and costs about $20,000 less than a Wrangler with the engine did last year.
It’s part of a range of useful changes for the new model year, which will also bring a new special edition every month for the next 12 months.
Moab 392 Makes the V8 a Bargain
The newest Jeep is called the Jeep Wrangler Moab 392. It has all of the 392 goodness, including the 6.4L V8 making 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
But it won’t come with everything the Rubicon 392 Final Edition did, which is how the price is lower. The Moab 392 does get the important stuff, like a 1.5-inch lift, 4.56 axles, 35-inch tires, rock sliders, a dual-mode exhaust, and an air-water intake separator.
It won’t get the Final Edition’s luxury parts, such as the Nappa leather seats and special interior highlights, along with a tool kit and similar changes. It also won’t have any Final Edition badges.
But for $81,990 instead of over $101,990, we don’t think you’ll miss them. Basically, the Moab 392 model gives you the Wrangler 392 that was available back in 2023.
Going Doors Off Gets Easier
Every 2026 Wrangler will get a new door hinge system. Jeep says this will make it both quicker and easier to pop the doors off.
There will also be loads of special colors, including Reign, Goldilocks, Joose, Earl Grey, and Tuscadero.
Willys two-door owners will be able to add steel bumpers and a Warn winch up front.
Get Ready for a Year of Special Editions
This year is the 85th anniversary of the Jeep brand, and in true Jeep tradition, it is planning a party. On the 12th of each month for the next 11 months (this month was the first), Jeep will drop another special model. It has left clues in its video if you want to try and guess.
“While the term ‘airdrop’ might hold an entirely different meaning today, for the Jeep brand it is an acknowledgment of a brand-defining moment — the parachuting of the Willys MB onto battlefields nearly 85 years ago. There is no other automotive brand that holds this kind of history in America.”
— Olivier Francois, global chief marketing officer, Stellantis.
Like last year, Jeep will have seven main models. The lineup starts with the Sport, and then Sport S and Willys. Sahara (and Moab 392) is available in four-door only, while Rubicon, the luxury Rubicon X, and the rest are offered with two or four doors.
Pricing for the 2026 model year Wranglers starts from $36,390, a little more than $2,000 over last year’s starting price.
