There aren’t a ton of Veterans Day sales that apply to prepping supplies and survival gear. It’s close enough that many retailers just wait for the post-Thanksgiving holidays.
Veterans Day is on November 11th, as always, which falls on a Tuesday this year. Sales have already started, and a few run through the end of next week. Like most roundups, we’ll keep updating as sales come and go throughout the period, so check back periodically to catch new deals.

Veterans Day Preface
The commercialization of holidays is commonplace now, with sales running on each and every holiday. You can’t blame businesses for trying to make money, even if it’s not really what the holiday is about.
As a USAF veteran, I can look forward to some of the Veterans Day promotions that have run for a while, including free lunches at some restaurants and some veteran-specific discounts. This year, it seems as though even more sales are open to everyone and not just those who served.
Most of the brands and gear that go on sale are related to the military in some capacity.
Firearms, Gun Gear, & Ammo
Some of the better sitewide sales for Veterans Day are from firearms and gun accessory dealers.
Palmetto State Armory
PSA has the best Veterans Day sale for firearms, with half off a Magpul Lower kit, an M4 marked down from $949 to $469, and a Vortex red dot dropped from $249 to $99. Check out the Palmetto State Armory Veterans Day Sale.
Optics Planet
The Optics Planet Veterans Day Sale is up and running through November 11th, and has a 13% off coupon for everyone with code THANKU. Not only do they sell optics, but they also have ammo, knives, clothing, outdoor gear, and more.
Tactical & Survival Clothing
Some of the best clothing for survival and everyday wear is made by tactical clothing companies, which also sell heavily to veterans.
5.11 Salute to Service
5.11’s Salute to Service Sale offers 25% off everything to military, veterans, first responders, medical workers, and teachers, using ID.me verification. That’s a common way to verify whether you are a veteran online, so you probably already have an account.
They are also running 20% off shirts, jackets, and other clothing.
They consistently rank high in our survival clothing reviews, so it’s worth checking out if you need a wardrobe upgrade.
LA Police Gear Sale

Wilderness Survival Gear
Even if you don’t consider yourself a ‘survivalist’, survival gear helps address the basic principles of practical survival, usually related to the survival rule of threes.
Whether it’s a bivy bag providing shelter, a water filter to stay hydrated, food rations for calories, or a backpack to hold it all, wilderness survival gear targeting basic survival tenets can be foundational for your preparedness.

Walmart
Walmart is in the same boat as Amazon- they are ramping up for the post-Thanksgiving rush and not paying much attention to Veterans Day. Still, there are a few deals running worth checking out.
Toor Knives
