‘We Want to Produce and Sell Millions of Motorcycles Per Year:’ Stark Future Aims to Electrify 2-Wheel Transport

Stark Future is arguably already building the world’s best electric motorcycles, all in-house in its facility in Spain. But it doesn’t plan to stop there.
Even more impressively, it is talking about future products relatively openly, and with extremely lofty objectives. Let’s dive into what we know so far — like an electric adventure bike coming soon.

With the Stark Files YouTube series of videos, Stark continues to provide insights into what the company is up to, where it’s going, and what its motorcycles are capable of. I highly recommend the series, both for entertainment purposes and insights into the future of motorcycles.
I love how the team at Stark is serious about innovation, performance, and manufacturing. But, at the same time, it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Focus and fun can both be part of a company’s ethos, and Stark Future proves it.
Stark’s Future
It all started with the VARG MX, and then the VARG EX I rode in the Pyrenees (more on that very soon), and then the recent launch of the VARG MX 1.2. But, that is just the beginning.
Anton Wass, Stark Future Founder and CEO, says, “We want to produce and sell millions of motorcycles per year.” In order to do that, they’re going to need to offer more than just dirt bikes.

Next up, later this year, is the VARG SM, a super-moto street version. It’s already out in the real-world testing.
But, what really has me excited is the next bike the company has in development, the “AALG” adventure bike. The AALG will be a European 800cc category competitor, offering 50% more power, a lower weight, and a charging time “as quick as you can drink a cup of coffee.”
Next up is a street bike, called the “LO” (which means Lynx in Swedish). It will be a sporty, on-road–focused version of the AALG adventure bike.
Big Aspirations in Big Markets
Also in the early research stage, is the “Gimli platform,” which is being developed specifically for the Asian market. Stark’s goal is ambitious: to capture over 50% of non-scooter motorcycle sales in the region.
To achieve this, it must combine an ultra-competitive price point with performance and quality that exceed 100-500cc gas motorcycles in the Adventure, Street, and Freeride categories. Within the Freeride segment, this means a super-light 85cc-equivalent motorcycle, engineered to deliver agility and accessibility.
4-Wheel Off-Road Fun
And finally, Stark aims to tackle the ATV market. The plan is to use the “ALG” powertrain to offer an ATV with more power, similar weight, similar range, and be within 10% in price of the current top gas-powered machines. It will also offer super-fast charging and be able to power electric tools — like a chainsaw out on the trail.
Stark Future’s Foundation Has Been Built
With a current 100-person–strong research and development team — including talent from F1, hypercar manufacturers, and other high-performance industries — Stark Future is setting itself up for big things. However, it also has quite a few mountains to climb to achieve its goals.
After meeting the team and seeing the current operation in Spain firsthand, I’m pretty confident that it will hit most, if not all, its targets. Only time will tell, but I, for one, am rooting for them and will likely be a customer very soon.
