Your Summertime Après Adventure: Trailgating With Long Trail Brewery

Nothing feels better than completing a long hike. Well, nothing except the cold beer you have waiting for you back at the trailhead. The like-minded folks at Long Trail Brewery know a thing or two about those ahh moments after a long trek, when kicking back with friends and a cold beer is the ultimate reward. A little trailgating, if you will.

To encourage you to get outside — as if you needed another excuse — and help make sure your summer is filled with more moments of trailgating satisfaction, Long Trail has put together a challenge that combines hiking with post-adventure fun. Keep reading to see how you can get in on the action and land yourself some fun prizes along the way.

Hike & Seek

Take to the trails for a fun, geocache-inspired scavenger hunt hosted by Long Trail Brewery. This summer, the brewery is hiding four Long Trail hiker signs — one for each letter to spell “beer” — on the trails in the Killington and Woodstock areas of Vermont.

Your mission is simple: Find the B.E.E.R. markers on the trail for a chance to win an outdoor prize package and other fun swag.

To get you started, Vermont local Rachel of @KeepVermontWild will post clues to tracking down the B.E.E.R. signs. Find a letter and enter the giveaway by posting a photo of yourself with the sign. Use #trailgating and tag @longtrailbeer.

You’ll be on your way to ice-cold victory in no time. More finds equal even better prizes. The winner will be announced at the end of summer.

In the meantime, stop by Long Trail Brewery and show the photo to staff for a chance to win even more prizes in person and get a nacho appetizer on the house.

The Prize Package

  • Up to $400 gift certificate to the Long Trail Brew Pub ($100 per sign found)
  • Long Trail cooler backpack
  • Long Trail trailgating shirt
  • Long Trail knit hat
  • LifeStraw Peak Series Straw
  • Long Trail bottle opener keychain
