Falco Holsters made its name by making them out of leather. They’re amazing holsters, too. The leather is soft in the way you want it, but stout enough to protect your gun. Hell, one protected the handgun from a burning truck, for crying out loud.
To be clear, I’ve become a fan.
I became familiar with the 3 of 7 Project via YouTube, but it’s much more than a channel. It’s about building a much better version of you, inside and out.
When the two join forces, I expect to see something dope, and the duo doesn’t seem to have disappointed.

OWB/IWB Kydex Holsters C917 & C917 L
Both holsters combine full Kydex construction with a perforated leather backer for improved comfort and ventilation during extended wear. An FBI cant helps conceal the handgun’s grip, while adjustable retention allows the draw resistance to be fine-tuned to the wearer’s preference. A ¾-length sweat guard shields the handgun from body moisture without digging uncomfortably into the hip.
Two polymer belt loops provide the primary OWB setup. For gun carriers who want greater versatility, the included tuckable clips allow the same holster to be converted for IWB carry. The open-top and open-bottom design provides fast access and accommodates threaded barrels. Both holsters can also be configured for handguns equipped with red dot sights.
The C917 L expands the design to pistols equipped with weapon-mounted lights or lasers. Both models are handcrafted from U.S. Kydex and full-grain Italian leather.

No, these aren’t cheap holsters. However, that’s because they’re not cheap holsters. I have quite a few Falco holsters, and they’re easily the best holsters I own, though I can’t say that I’m an expert and have tried everything out there. I haven’t. I tried Falcos and stopped looking, though. From inside-the-waistband hybrid holsters to full-leather holsters that look like a freaking strawberry, I’ve been impressed.
And these look impressive, too. The leather backing is going to be more comfortable than kydex digging into your abdomen or hip, even outside the waistband if you’re a plus-sized individual (I myself have a couple of plusses, for what it’s worth).
The fact that this is a partnership with a cause that I think deserves a bit more of my attention, and not just because I need to get my health in line, along with the rest of the things 3 of 7 stands for.
Look, holsters matter, and a lot of us have boxes of failed experiments, and a lot of them are inexpensive things we got off of Amazon or something. Stop. Spend the money on something good. Buy once, cry once. If it’s not a Falco — and I know I’m starting to sound like I’m writing copy for them, so we need to admit that they’re not the only maker out there worth spending money on — then find another quality maker. I tend to think leather is better, but I also have my share of kydex holsters, too.
The bottom line is this: spend the money on something that you can wear with confidence.
