The Terrifying Reality Behind DSA’s Stance on Guns

Earlier this week, I wrote about the DSA and its stance on guns. While the current platform seems to suggest some kind of compromise on guns, where hunting and self-defense were seemingly respected, it was still completely unacceptable. Especially because socialism is the kind of ideology you can vote yourself into and have to shoot your way out of.

The Second Amendment is the insurance policy for the Constitution, and since most of the rest of DSA’s platform is geared around upending the Constitution…well, you can see the issue.

But the truth of the matter is that the DSA has memory-holed a lot of troubling stuff that makes their desire to limit what guns are permissible downright terrifying.

Missing from the dialog is a but if DSA history, in the form of songs of the movement, long since removed from the group’s website but preserved via The Internet Archive. While this correspondent has been pointing this out for years, it’s still not very widely known. More gun owners need to be aware of it, and share it to challenge DSA/Democrat calls for citizen disarmament:

Are You Sleeping, Bourgeoisie – Traditional American song, sung in rounds to the tune of “Frere Jacques”.

Are you sleeping, Are you sleeping,
Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie,
And when the revolution comes,
We’ll kill you all with knives and guns,
Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie

Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie, See How They Run – Usually sung in rounds after “Are You Sleeping, Bourgeoisie”. Sung to the tune of “Three Blind Mice”.

Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie,
See how they run,
See how they run
And when the revolution comes,
We’ll kill them all with knives and guns,
Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie

Who do you think the “bourgeoisie” are? How many know that, despite demands to “eat the rich,” the real impediment to a Marxist takeover—and what therefore must be destroyed—is the middle class? How many young people enamored by the prospects of a “classless society” realize that a fundamental step toward coercing that was a dictatorship of the proletariat?

And a question for those who insist “They’ve just never done socialism right,” since when do communist dictators then voluntarily step down and relinquish power? Especially after they’ve got all the guns?

“Guard with jealous attention the public liberty,” Patrick Henry warned at the Virginia Convention, 5 June 1788. “Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it, but downright force: Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined.”

Even if it weren’t the middle class, the innate desire to murder people whom they have regarded as their enemies without anything remotely looking like due process of law should trouble anyone, because while the rhetoric surrounds the “bourgeoisie” here, the reality is that socialists tend to regard a lot more as enemies of the people than just them.

Plus, Ammoland’s David Codrea is right about the middle class, because the term is properly defined as the “wealthy” business owners, merchants, and professionals who allegedly control the money. Well, most business owners and merchants aren’t Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. They’re your local plumber or the guy who fixes your car.

Those are the people who would be targeted.

And let’s be real, tyrants do not tolerate a populace with the ability to resist. It would start by repealing the Second Amendment and supposedly providing enough “firepower” for hunting and self-defense, but that would be downgraded and restricted into meaninglessness, all so they can continue to assert control, and the American people—the people that socialists routinely claim to stand with—would be powerless to do anything about it.

That’s not a byproduct. That’s the goal.

The fact that they had their silly little commie songs about murdering the so-called wealthy is disqualifying in and of itself. This isn’t like people who think pedos should be fed into woodchippers, because first, the pedos get due process and second, pedos aren’t people. No, this is wanting to murder people simply because they worked hard and were successful.

It’s disgusting, but it’s also troubling because, should they get enough power, the line might get drawn, but it’ll be in chalk so it can be easily erased and redrawn when the powers that be need more enemies to feed the bloodthirsty mobs they hope to create with this.

The reign of Terror following the French Revolution should be held as a warning, not a guide.

And because they clearly see it as otherwise, I’ll hold onto my guns, thank you very much.
